Shadows Beneath the Lantern – Meet Flins
Share
"Mr. Flins lives near a distant lighthouse. He's quite proactive, and apparently he knows a thing or two about tactics… maybe? I can't say for sure—I joined the team too late to work alongside him. That’s just what the Leader of LightKeepers told me.
You want my opinion? Hmm… I think there’s a lot more to him than meets the eye. Don’t you find it surprising? He’s a warrior, yet so graceful—and he definitely knows how to use words to get what he wants."

🌇 A Stranger at Sunset
Every harvest season brings unfamiliar guests to the village gathering. One evening, under the amber glow of dusk, the marketplace hosted such a moment: a gentleman arrived, piquing the curiosity of the locals, who eagerly invited him into their conversation.
He introduced himself plainly: Flins, a warrior serving under the LightKeepers ("执灯人"). He spoke of a time when his squad repelled Abyssal monster—an event that earned him a civilian-awarded medal of honor, gifted as a heartfelt expression of gratitude. No one organized the gesture; it was a spontaneous, shared sentiment. The medal came in a weathered old box. It was heavy.
Yet to Flins, it hardly seemed enough. The cost of that operation had been high. The team once counted seven or eight members—now, he alone remains to guard the graves near the lighthouse.
The crowd fell silent for a moment. Words like "the Wild Hunt," "Monsters," and other painful memories flickered in their minds. The weight of grief held them still. Some may have had questions—but even if asked, Flins likely wouldn’t answer. The way he bowed his head showed he was lost in remembrance.
Compared to other LightKeepers, Flins’s demeanor is… elegant. He avoids questions about his origins or family. Instead, he prefers to speak of distant places and long-passed events. His words are deliberate—never excessive. When he talks of the past, it’s simply:
"That was… a truly unforgettable time."
And for most listeners—who haven't seen much of the world—that's enough. They’re curious, but only to a point. Flins seems to understand this perfectly. The stories he shares are always the right ones, shaped just right for the crowd.
Whether you're a longtime Genshin fan or newly drawn into the Genshin world, Flins is the kind of character who leaves an impression—not with his blade, but with his silence, his scars, and the stories he chooses to tell.
